ICP Public Art
The art pieces in the ICP are especially made for the children and family in the International District community. In 1981, Gerard Tsutakawa designed the Dragon sculpture placed in the center of the original park. The Dragon has become a great icon for the park and the community as a whole. It is both a beautiful art piece and a durable play structure for kids.
In January 2010, local Seattle artist Stuart Nakamura was chosen to create new art pieces for the new renovated park. With the help of the community, Nakamura designed 3 different pieces to represent the different cultural elements of the International District.
Together, these amazing public art pieces will catch the eye of any passersby and help to attract more users to the ICP!
