In partnership with Seattle Parks & Recreation, Friends of International Children’s Park presents “Countdown to Park Renovation” on Thursday June 16, 2011 from 12pm-5pm.  Join us to celebrate four years of community planning with food, entertainment, and family activities. The park begins renovation July 2011! Check out Fusion on the Run mobile truck offering $6 and under lunch specials.

Lunar New Year Festival

Time: 11am~4:00pm

Where: Hing Hay Park and International Children’s Park

Come out to the International Children’s Park and I promise you will find:

We will have a ton Arts and Crafts activities such as:

• Tiger masks
• Lantern painting
• Valentine’s Day / Lunar New Year Cards

We will also be selling custom-made year of the tiger shirts at the park for $10 a shirt! Come out and get one.  🙂

Finally, families, kids and visitors will have a chance to meet kick ass Shaolin Kung-Fu master David Leong! He will be giving two interactive demonstrations in the Children’s Park, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. He is also performing in Hing Hay Park at 2:00pm, so you should check him out!
