Save the date: ICP Grand Re-Opening on March 3, 2012
It is finally here, the Grand Re-Opening of the International Children’s Park!
We are excited to announce that the International Children’s Park renovation will be finished by the end of February and the Grand Re-Opening ceremony will be held on Saturday March 3, 2012. Please keep an eye out for further details and save the date for the exciting festivities to come!

Ready for the Year of the Dragon? Gerry Tsutakawa’s original Dragon pin would be the perfect gift for the new year! On sale at local retailers for $30.00. This also includes a card designed by Seattle Artist Curtis McGuire, created just for the International Children’s Park. Current locations at KOBO at Higo, MOMO, Wing Luke Asian Museum and the IDEA Space Pop-up Shop from December 5th to 9th.

Countdown to Park Renovation Recap
Thank you so much to everyone that came out for the “Countdown to Park Renovation” event last Thursday June 16. It was you who made this celebration so much fun! From mobile food to baked goods and button making, we hope everyone enjoyed the last formal celebration in the original park. We are excited to see construction begin for the new renovation in August, which means the park will be closed for the remaining year.
But don’t fret, anticipation for the new park will be even more exciting and we hope you will look forward to the FICP Grand Re-Opening event sponsored by Cathay Bank!

In partnership with Seattle Parks & Recreation, Friends of International Children’s Park presents “Countdown to Park Renovation” on Thursday June 16, 2011 from 12pm-5pm. Join us to celebrate four years of community planning with food, entertainment, and family activities. The park begins renovation July 2011! Check out Fusion on the Run mobile truck offering $6 and under lunch specials.
